Top 10 Eyeshadow Brands

What girl doesn't love makeup and especially eyeshadow, it is what makes or breaks your look. I have listed my 10 favorite shadow products. I also, listed all the supplies you will need to get the perfect eye look.

The first thing you need to do before you even think about doing you eye makeup is getting your eyebrows in the perfect condition. I know it can be a pain to pluck your eyebrows but, I have discovered that it is the best way. I noticed when I get my eyebrows waxed that for about 5 days afterwards, I have dry skin under my brow from getting them waxed. The best tweezers I have found are Tweezerman they are angled and never go dull.

Now, once you have plucked them you now need to put on a primer. My primer of choice is by Urban Decay it's called Sin, I have listed in my supply list a mini pack of different Urban Decay eye primers. To apply primer you must have a clean lid and apply to the entire lid from under the eyebrow to eyelash line.

Now, you are ready put on your eyeshadow. I would suggest looking on youtube.com for great eyeshadow tutorials. Here are my top eye shadows brands to chose from. Hope you all enjoy them. You need a good set of brushes as brushes work better than what comes with the shadows.

These are not listed in any particular order.

• MAC They are highly pigmented, show up true, last longer than 8 hours, have a wide variety of colors, the quality is amazing, it takes very little to get a good look, its consistent, blends easily with other colors. CONS: expensive, hard to remove, and they are break easily. Favorite Mac eyeshadow is the loose pigment shadow.
  
• NYX They are absolute fabulous highly pigmented, last up to 8 hours, quality is good, little shadow is required as it come on easily, blends easily. CONS: Fades after 8 hours, now a huge variety of colors, doesn't last long Favorite NYX again the pigment shadows.

• Lancome The eyeshadows feel silky and easy to apply, they actually stay in place, the colors are bright and vivid when applied, and are true to color. CONS Expensive, doesn't last over 6 hours. Favorite Lancome Shadow Color Design Sensational effect
• Smashbox 1 of my top 5 favorites, the colors are unique, there is a variety of colors, they are stylish, funky, easy to apply, easy to remove, covers great, lost longer than 8 hours Cons: I have to apply 2 layers to get a dark enough look when going smokey
• L'OREAL Hip This is the best drugstore brand of eye shadow I have ever tried, it's highly pigmented, easy to apply, only needs one layer, great colors, funky, fun, fresh. CONS Hard to remove
• Urban Decay One of the newer brands aimed at young people, fun colors, easy to apply, easy to blend, easy to layer, nice and shimmery and subtle at the same time. Cons: not as easy to remove, is messy, easy to break
• Bare Minerals I love minerals makeup period and the shadows are no exception its smooth, easy to apply, easy to remove, not to heavy, good for your skin. Cons Not a variety of colors, cheaper version do about the same thing, can get messy.
  
• Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Bobbi Brown's eye shadows are amazing pigmented with beautiful colors, are so versatile,covers well, but never looks like you are masking yourself.
  Cons: Doesn't remove easy
• Revlon- They have a product called 12 hour eyeshadow and it last way over 12 hours. The shadow lasts much longer than any of my other shadows  and the colors that they have are excellent. Cons: Need to layer on darker colors
  
• Rimmel  was started in 1834 and has gone from strength to strength, bringing its unique London look to more than 40 countries worldwide and establishing itself as Britain’s best-selling cosmetics brand, variety of colors, funky, fresh, easy to remove and easy to apply. Cons not as popular in USA then in Britian not everyone carries Rimmel.
